About ‘Gugak'

"Gugak” refers to Korean music, which includes traditional Korean music as well as creative music based on it. Various traditional instruments are played, such as "Gayageum”, "Geomungo”, "Daegeum”, "Piri”, "Haegeum”, "Ajaeng”, and "Janggu”. "Gugak”, which has many musical elements and forms, holds deep significance as music that embodies both traditional and modern Korean emotions and spirits.

About Sorinuri Art Group

Sorinuri Art Group of the Gugak National High School was founded in 2012 to discover and foster talents of students who will carry forward the spirit of Korean traditional culture. It is a comprehensive art group, with members selected from first and second graders of the Gugak National High School through strict screening. Every year,<Sorinuri Art Group>is invited to perform at various domestic and international concerts and events and has established itself as a leading student art performing group in Korea, promoting the originality of Korean music to the world.
